Support Tobi's Chance for a Healthy Life

Hi everyone,

My name is Justina, and I'm reaching out for help with my beloved puppy, Tobi. Tobi is an energetic, sweet, spunky, and playful Doxipoo who brings joy to our lives. He had a rough start to life being born unresponsive and revived; he was the runt of the group and was given up for adoption. He was adopted in August 2023, 1 year after I lost my soul dog to melanoma. Unfortunately, at just 6 months, he was diagnosed with renal dysplasia, a severe kidney condition that cuts his life drastically. I am heartbroken but determined to fight for this little dude.

Renal dysplasia is a hereditary disease characterized by abnormal differentiation of renal tissue. Tobi's kidneys never appropriately developed when he was in the womb. Luckily, this was discovered "early" at stage two-ish, but we have seen degenerative changes in the past few months, and we want to help give him a chance before he hits complete failure. The last effort for Tobi is to undergo stem cell surgery to have a chance at a longer, healthier life.

The cost of this surgery is $7,000, and unfortunately, his insurance, Healthy Paws, terminated stem treatment from all plans as of April 2024! This is beyond our ability to afford on our own. I've explored all other options, such as holistic treatments and specialists for renal failure, but stem cell surgery offers the best chance for Tobi to live a long and happy life.
