My cat Tobin fell off the back of my daughter's bed and then tumbled over the table behind her bed last night. We took him to the emergency vet where they did X-rays. His left femur is severely displaced and he needs surgery. My regular vet does the FHO surgery (they cut the head off the femur and let the body form scar tissue to hold the femur in place) but only on a case-by-case basis. He has an appointment Monday morning to be evaluated. The surgery is $2000-$2500 at a regular vet vs $4000-$5000 at the Animal Emergency Hospital. I spent $1000 last night, and will have the appointment Monday and hopefully surgery will be able to be done at the regular vet. All together, I am probably looking at $3500-$4000 between last night, Monday, and the surgery. I do not have that kind of money. I will post the bills and estimate once I have that information. Tobin means the world to me, and he’s suffering, but I don’t have that kind of money. I humbly ask you to please consider donating so he can get the treatment he needs.
