Support Tobias's Journey to His True Self

Hi, my name is Tobias and I am a thirty-two-year-old trans guy. I started my transition journey in 2020 and have come so far already.

As an AFAB eldest child, I was parentified and taught to put the needs of my family before my own. I learned to silently suffer through my pain and not bring it to the attention of my parents or anyone else. To add to this, I developed through puberty at a very young age. I started my period and breast development at ten years old and I hated every thing about it. My cousin, who is a year older than me, couldn’t understand at the time why I wasn’t more excited to be developing into womanhood, and I didn’t have the language or emotional insight at the time to understand it either.

Twenty-two years later I get it.

Currently, I'm working toward the next step in my transition, which for me is top surgery. I have found my preferred surgeon, who specializes in a technique that preserves sensation, eliminates the need for grafting, and would result in my ideal chest. This doctor does not work through insurance, so I would need to pay for everything out of pocket.

To book the surgery and reserve a date, I need $1,500. The amount for the entire procedure comes to $15,000, including anesthesia and aftercare. I would like to be able to book my surgery date before June of 2025 as that is as long as my quoted amount for surgery will stay the same. Once booked, I have until two weeks before the surgery to pay the full amount for the procedure.
