My name is Tobias and I have been on testosterone for about 6 years now. I am finally ready to have my gender affirming surgery, but I know I'll need a little help getting it funded. I have attached a screenshot of the quote I received and have essentially established this as a "donation bin" at the suggestion of some friends - your generosity is appreciated!

The 14,602$ quote I received is itemized and will be the exact cost of the surgery.
Deadlines:
- The surgery date I have reserved is for 01/18/2027.
- I am required to have funded the entire amount 4 weeks prior to the surgery date, so the deadline to have my surgery fully funded is 12/15/2026.
- The deadline to fund the surgery, as well as my surgery date, can be adjusted as necessary with prior notice given and if these dates are adjusted, I will update the fundraiser and description accordingly.
Why surgery?
- I live in the United States and it is growing increasingly dangerous for transgender people. I need to be able to pass more safely in men's spaces without having to constantly rely on baggy clothing.
- I don't have the capacity to explain gender dysphoria to people who haven't experienced it themselves. I'm tired of being uncomfortable all of the time.
Quote expiration?
- The quote has an 'expiration' date on it, but the amount of the quote has been secured by a deposit so it will not increase.
Censored Stuff?
- Well, yeah. I don't really want my plastic surgeon or widely identifying information visible online to a bunch of strangers, sorry.
I want to donate, but I don't want to do it through GFM?

- I don't respond to direct messages from people offering to boost or make 'huge impacts' on my fundraiser. If you want to help, you can donate and share.
- I don't respond to messages like these because it's basically always someone who wants something "specific" from me as a transgender person in exchange for help that will never come.
Miscellaneous:
- As I supplement the funding with my own income, I will lower the necessary goal here on GFM to match until my goal is met.
- My plastic surgeon is really nice and I can prepay any amount I desire to the surgery over time by requesting them to invoice me for a set amount. I will do this frequently to ensure that my funding is not lost due to 'other expenses' (rent, credit card payments, or general miscalculation). I am keeping track of the invoices for my records.
