I’m reaching out for help with Toaster, my sweet little kitty whom I adopted from WHS just last month (7/2/25). She’s tiny with a HUGE personality—her tail is as long as her body, her legs are half-sized, and her tongue often sticks out, which just makes her even more adorable. When I adopted her, WHS mentioned she had signs of dental disease (tartar build-up and gingivitis), but I didn’t realize how serious it was until her recent vet visit. Last Friday, we found out that one of her canine teeth is broken, which explains her funny eating style and floppy tongue. She now needs X-rays, a cleaning, and possibly an extraction, with the total cost estimated between $1,300 and $2,000.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get pet insurance since the issue was noted by WHS making it considered preexisting, and I’m already struggling with other expenses like car issues and being on reduced income due to FMLA. I’m willing to max out my Care Credit, but it won’t cover everything. Toaster has been such a bright spot in a tough year, and I just want her to be healthy and comfortable.
