Lolo is a Filipino term for Grandfather. Eduardo Jasmin, was my biological uncle, but for every kid who grew up in our little compound here in the Philippines, he was Daddy or Lolo Egot.

Life was hard with Lolo Egot, he was living by the day and some days are harder, when he cannot even afford to make the ends meet. But even in those situations, he never failed to make anyone happy, especially the kids. When you ask for a candy or a toy, he will gladly buy it for you, even if it means that he will have less meals for that day.

He loves kids, and was so ecstatic when he knew he will have his own grandchild in a few months.

All his life, I never heard him complain. So when he had a severe headache and started vomiting, he was immediately rushed to a hospital. He was later on diagnosed with Brain Aneurysm and will need to undergo an operation to save his life.

Now as he confronts his health crisis, our family gathered together to ensure he received the best possible solution to help him overcome his illness. But unfortunately, the medical expenses until his recovery would cost a lot for only limited resources we had. So we decided to launched a fundraising campaign to cover some of the expenses for his treatment until recovery period.
