We Can Bring You Here (Probably) Migration Network:

The We Can Bring You Here (Probably) Migration Network is dedicated to helping people leave the United States to avoid persecution under the new Trump regime. We provide financial support to obtain birth certificates, passports, and legal advice; and, pay for travel, relocation expenses, medicine, groceries & rent. To date, we have spent over $6200 helping six transgender folks (1 man and 5 women) with travel and move expenses ($2381), housing ($2765), legal assistance and documents ($616), health care ($250), and food ($250) so they could move to a safer country or state. One of our hosts has alreaady contributed over $4300 of her own funds towards these expenses. We leverage our growing network of contacts in Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe to help with resettlement. We are willing to help anyone who feels they cannot live here safely, including transgender people and women seeking reproductive health care that they cannot receive in the US. All funds go directly to the people we are helping as immediately as possible.

As noted in his article "Why I did not leave Nazi Germany in time", the Holocaust survivor Werner Weinberg wrote about the difficulties of escaping Germany as it slid into fascism:

"There were definite qualifications and conditions, and those who did not meet them could not leave. Our conversations were governed by such things as affidavits, sponsors, certificates, quotas and visas, requirements of age, skills and health, relatives abroad, rumored loopholes in immigration laws from New Zealand to Chile. Thousands, tens of thousands of German Jews simply could not emigrate if their life depended on it -- which it did." We are a group of Americans (volunteers) with experience in progressive politics at the local, state, and international levels dedicated to helping people leave the US for safer countries. While we have and will continue to resist the new regime, it is important to remember that it is simply too dangerous for some people to stay in the country now.
