Hi my name is Andrew, I’m 37 years old and I’ve suffered a tragic accident. On May 12 2023 I fell ten feet off my roof that I was working on. I broke my spine and had to have emergency spinal surgery to avoid paralysis. After a 7 hour surgery They fused my entire spine with rods and cement. Thankfully the surgery was a success however my wife and I are now faced with the complete uncertainty of how we’re going to pay bills and survive this financially. My wife is epileptic and on the lowest tier of permanent disability. I’m being told that it will be a year before I can resume and kind of normal work in my field of construction. We really are at a loss and have no idea about how we’re going to pay any of our bills and keep our apartment. We’re asking for donations and hoping that good people can understand how desperate we are and scared of losing all that we’ve worked for. I’m currently inside the hospital and expect to remain here for the week while learning how to walk again. Sitting up for the first time today and going to try to walk to the bathroom. Will try walking with a brace later today as well. Updates to follow. Currently at Stanford Medical Center
