Support to help pay for medical bills

I have recently been diagnosed with lung cancer in February. Benjamin, my second child, jumped on my stomach in the later part of October. I had some stomach pain that lasted for a week or two, so I decided to go in. There, they scanned my stomach and saw a nodule that was big enough to report. They rescanned me that night stating I would need to see my doctor. Three months later, I had a repeat scan. My primary prescribed three different antibiotics to see if it would kill whatever was happening in my lungs as I am only 33 years old. However, a few months of waiting, the node was still there. They decided I should do a biopsy. The biopsy showed the cells were cancerous. They will remove my center lung; also known as the middle lobe, on the right side. I will lose 10% of my lung function and capacity.

In addition to an overwhelming financial burden, I worry about a lot of things including making it though surgery, leaving my baby first the first time while I recover in the hospital, having to quit breast feeding, and the recovery period. The procedure is quite a bit of money. With Josh, my husband, having to help with the kids, it will force him to lose out on overtime. I am a very independent person, so this is very difficult to put this out in the open. However, I know during this time my family and I need a little bit of help.

The recovery period will be 2-4 days in the hospital and then 4-6 weeks to recover.

It is out of my character to reach out for help, and at any capacity; but given the circumstances, I can only accept the love and help and lean on loved ones who have been tirelessly asking what they can do.
