My name is Bassem Elsayed. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Ismael , and his family . This is Ismael story:

Hello.

I am Ismael

from Gaza, Palestine.

I come from a family of 12 members. My parents suffer from chronic illnesses, with my father being a wheelchair user due to diabetes and having experienced gangrene resulting in partial amputation of his foot. My brother, who is 11 years old, has been suffering from diabetes for years. He takes insulin and has problems with his chest, and from time to time he suffers from shortness of breath. I am a university student with little left to fulfill my dream and graduate, but my education and that of my siblings have been halted due to the war. Our dreams and aspirations have been shattered, and we have nothing left. I used to own a small restaurant to support myself in continuing my education, but the war also put a stop to that, leaving our household without any source of income. My dream was to complete my studies and travel, but the war destroyed everything. We evacuated our home 115 days ago, and I have lost contact with it for over a month. We lost many of our personal belongings and devices during the war. Now, I want to escape the danger with my family and travel to fulfill our dreams, wishes, and continue our studies. We seek a new, secure beginning for me and my family.
