Help us build schools in Kenya

We, Phoebe, Justine & Simon, work together at private Equity fund 3i, and we have decided to do something for a cause important to us; education of children.

We have therefore agreed to run the Paris Marathon, train to achieve personal best times, and ultimately run to put spotlight on education of children and hopefully raise 15.000 £ to build schools where needed the most.

We will raise funds for Human Practice Foundation (HPF) who builds schools in rural Kenya and Nepal with the belief that education is the single most important thing, if you want to change the course of a child’s life. HPF, in addition, has a model where 100% of the money donated goes to the school project, because admin is covered by founders. Since its inception it has helped close to 50.000 students in Kenya and Nepal across 100 school building projects. All projects showing measurable positive impact on grades, attendance, and the childrens own prospects of the future.

We will do a series of activities to raise as much money as possible, and already now, we have gotten our employer, 3i to support us; 3i will double everything we raise (up to a max of 15.000). Our aim is to reach that threshold!
