Help Us Prevent More Litters and Provide Medical Care for a Sandy Springs Cat Colony
Behind the businesses on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, there is a well-established colony of community cats. These cats are fed and monitored, but they still need consistent medical care to stay healthy and to prevent the colony from growing.
We are actively working to humanely trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, and treat medical issues within the colony. The costs are adding up quickly, and we need community support to continue.
What We’ve Recently Done
- Trapped and spayed four females in heat/early pregnancy, preventing additional litters.
- Neutered two males, including one with a neck wound and necrotizing tissue that required cleaning and stitches.
- Provided dental care for an older female suffering from stomatitis who required a full dental cleaning and several extractions.
- These cats are recovering well, but the veterinary bills have grown quickly.
Who Still Needs Help
We are currently working to trap:
- At least one more female that looks very pregnant.
- At least two more males (and likely additional cats we have not yet identified)
In addition, two previously TNR’d cats now need medical attention:
- One male with clumped fur on his back indicating possible wounds or infection
- Another cat with a painful eye condition that requires treatment
This fundraiser will help cover:
- Recent spay/neuter surgeries
- Vaccinations
- Wound care and antibiotics
- Dental procedures
- Eye treatment
- Upcoming trapping and medical expenses
Every donation goes directly toward veterinary care for these cats.
If you prefer to contribute directly, please call Dr. Geren (Piedmont Animal Clinic) at 706-seven-six-nine-four-six-two-four.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others makes a real difference.
Thank you for helping us manage this colony.
