Imagine hearing the words no one ever wants to hear—‘You have breast cancer.’ This is the reality our sweet T-Maw is facing, and although she would NEVER ask for it, she needs our help.

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is McKaylin Coffman and I’m the second grandchild and she is one of my most favorite people in the world. She is one of the most genuine, authentic people I know who has the biggest heart and now needs us. She is friends with everyone and keeps us all laughing with her wittiness and Tik-Toks. She is also one of the most stubborn people I know, so she would never ask for anything on her own.

Just a few weeks ago, her world turned upside down when one of the most dreaded things could have happened, after some extensive testing and biopsies she has been diagnosed with the early stages of breast cancer.

She had her first appointment with Texas Oncology last week and a future plan of a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction was made. Before surgery is scheduled she is being set up for some MRI’s in addition to a few body scans.

This is where our T-Maw needs our help. This journey has just begun and already has had a significant cost with more to come, and hopefully, what we are able to raise here can ease some stress for her. The funds will be used towards her upcoming surgeries, scans, post op radiation and or chemotherapy (pending mastectomy biopsy results), DoorDash deliveries for her and our Paw-Paw when she’s not having a good day or time is tight, and the list goes on. She will also have to have post-op care from Paw-Paw which will result in time off work for him to care for her while she is recovering. I Ultimately, just want to help provide them with some peace of mind so that they are able to fully focus on what truly matters most to get her through this.
