Support TJ's Fight for Recovery After Car Accident
Donation protected
On March 19th, TJ Thornton, a vibrant and caring 21-year-old, was involved in a severe car accident that has left him fighting for his life and the ability to walk again. After being rushed to the hospital, he was immediately admitted to the Surgical Trauma ICU where doctors discovered the full extent of the injuries. TJ sustained multiple life-threatening injuries, including:
• Internal bleeding and fluid buildup in the abdomen
• A lacerated liver
• A broken left humerus
• A shattered left scapula (shoulder blade)
• A fractured right scapula
• Spinal cord injury at the T7-T12 level with a spinal cord lesion
• Two spinal fractures
TJ also experienced severe complications including low blood pressure, neurogenic shock, and respiratory failure after the trauma. These challenges have required immediate, intensive surgical interventions.
Surgeries Performed:
• Abdominal surgery to repair the lacerated liver and remove excess fluid
• Spinal fusion surgery to stabilize the spine
• Surgery on the left arm to insert a plate for the healing of the humerus
This has been an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time for TJ and his family. His parents, Angela and Tommy and siblings Brad, Karter and Kambria are right by his side, and asking for your prayers.
TJ and the family have a long road ahead, with the possibility of more surgeries, rehabilitation, and potentially months of recovery. We serve a big God and pray you can help us however you can!
The emotional, physical, and financial burden of such a traumatic event is immense, and we’re reaching out to our community for help.
We are asking for your support to help cover medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and the expenses that will continue to mount over the coming months as TJ fights for recovery. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in TJ's journey back to health.
Please keep TJ and his family in your thoughts and prayers, and if you can, donate to help with their recovery. Your kindness and generosity will help give them the chance to rebuild their life and regain the independence they once had.
Thank you so much for your support.
