Laying my brother to rest

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Chloe, and I’m TJ’s sister.

My baby brother is only 26 years old, and right now he is lying in an ICU bed after a devastating skateboarding accident. He suffered multiple brain bleeds and a skull fracture. He is no longer sedated, and we are waiting, praying, and hoping for him to respond and come back to us.

One minute everything was normal… and the next, our entire world shattered.

TJ isn’t just my brother—he’s a piece of my heart. He’s stubborn in the most unforgettable way, always making people laugh, always full of life and energy. He’s the kind of person who leaves a mark on everyone he meets. Loud, funny, strong-willed… so full of life. And now, we’re just standing beside him, talking to him, holding his hand, hoping he hears us and finds his way back.

He has already gone through emergency procedures to relieve the pressure on his brain, and every hour still feels critical. Now that he is off sedation, we are holding onto hope for signs—any movement, any response, anything that tells us he’s still fighting in there.

Watching someone you love like this is a pain I can’t even put into words. It’s helpless, it’s terrifying, and it’s heartbreaking. But we are not giving up on him. Not for a second.

The road ahead is going to be long and uncertain—ICU care, rehabilitation, and so much healing. Along with the emotional toll, the financial burden is more than we can carry alone. TJ just recently relocated from Tennessee to SC to be closer to me and our mom December 2025. He is employed with insurance however, does not qualify for FMLA as his employment has been so short lived. We are not sure if his employer will terminate his position and short term disability typically requires 6 months of employment for eligibility, but we are still pushing for it.

If you can help in any way—whether it’s donating, sharing, or simply praying for TJ—we are so deeply grateful. Every single act of kindness means more than you know.

Please help us fight for my brother.

He is still here. He is still fighting. And we need him.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
