This giving season, I am proud to raise funds for a cause near and dear to my heart. My nephew TJ has been diagnosed with leukodystrophy, an extremely rare disease that affects the central nervous system. TJ is the only person in the US and one of just six worldwide with this particular diagnosis. Despite these challenges, he remains the coolest, happiest, and funniest little boy I know, bringing joy to everyone around him.
The costs associated with TJ’s care are significant. His family faces ongoing expenses for medications, leg braces, and monthly travel to the children's hospital in Philadelphia, where a dedicated care team is researching this rare disease. In addition, TJ needs specialized equipment to meet his unique needs in day-to-day life. Recently, he was approved for a promising drug trial that may slow—or even potentially reverse—the degenerative effects of the disease, making the continuation of this treatment plan all the more important.
We are aiming to raise funds to help ease the financial burden on TJ’s family as they focus on giving him the best possible care. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for considering a donation and for supporting TJ and our family during this time.
