This past week, my cousin, TJ Liftawi, was working on a car that had been stalled in front of his mom’s house for well over a year. He was so excited to have gotten it running and continued working on it Friday evening. While he was underneath the vehicle, the jack slipped, resulting in the car falling on top of him. TJ went into cardiac arrest and was without a pulse or oxygen for several minutes before being resuscitated and transferred to the ER by ambulance. He was moved to the ICU, sedated, and intubated. We are so grateful for the incredible team taking care of him.
TJ has several fractured ribs and a fracture in his spine. The biggest concern right now is potential brain damage from cerebral anoxia.
Funds raised will help cover TJ’s medical bills, rent payments, and rehabilitation services as he recovers from his injuries. We appreciate all prayers and support for TJ. Please keep him in your thoughts and consider helping with his recovery. Any contribution will make a difference as we hope and pray for increased brain function and healing.
6/1/26: today is a big day, University of Utah neurology will be giving us a better idea of prognosis and repeat MRI will be done tonight. We will update as we know more. Pray, pray, pray.
