In Loving Memory of Ernesto Angeles Jr.
Donation protected
Hello! I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my uncle, “Tito Jun” (my mom, Alice Fajardo’s, brother), from the Philippines. Tito Jun is a man known for his quiet strength, deep religious faith, and steady love for his family. In 2019, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He underwent major surgery to remove his entire colon, and after a long and difficult recovery, he was declared cancer-free.
In 2023, our family was devastated to learn that the cancer had returned and had spread to his pancreas. He immediately began chemotherapy, enduring 10 months of treatment, but the tumor continued to grow.
Tito Jun was admitted into the hospital earlier this year, but has been readmitted to the hospital for over a month now— since April 18, 2025. He has already had several blood transfusions, and the pancreatic tumor has blocked his bile ducts and digestive tract, leaving him unable to eat. He now relies on a nasogastric tube (NGT) for nutrition, an external drain for his bile, and a central line to directly provide extra nutrients into his bloodstream for his weakening body. He has lost significant amount of weight.
His oncologists are recommending a third-line chemotherapy regimen (FOLFOX and Cetuximab) in hopes of shrinking the tumor, relieving his symptoms, and helping him regain some comfort and strength. Our biggest prayer is that he’ll be able to eat again and enjoy time with his loved ones.
Sadly, in countries like the Philippines, healthcare is not fully covered. While public health insurance offers some assistance, it is often limited and quickly runs out—especially for advanced or long-term treatment like his. Our family continues to seek government aid to assist in financing hospital bills facing ₱350,000 PHP (about $6,200 USD) in monthly hospital expenses. We are hoping to raise funds urgently to be able to continue his next round of chemo treatment.
If you’re able to help—through a donation, a share, or simply keeping him in your thoughts and prayers—we would be deeply grateful. Every act of kindness brings him closer to comfort, healing, and more time with the people who love him most.
We appreciate any help or way of sharing our story! Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with our family.
With gratitude,
