Earlier this year, our family experienced a sudden, terrible inflection point. Our beloved Tito Danny suffered from a stroke and has since then experienced several complications. His recovery will be long and grueling. After weeks of tests, dialysis treatments, intubations, and other medical procedures, our family is beginning to bear the weight of the medical costs. As much as we do not want to think about his health through a financial lens, we must exhaust all possible resources to ensure that he receives the intensive, ongoing care that he needs.
