Jan 25 my neighbor, Tiffany’s (single mother of 4) 14 yr old had a birthday and 3 days later he wanted to spend some bday money and Titan (7 year old) had money as well.
Here are her words:
Hello world I am Tiffany Stevenson mother of 5 children. I was a school bus driver. Single parent maintaining home along with the help of my older children, 24 and my child that just made 18 during this unfortunate life changing experience due to the accident.
As my neighbor stated my son had just turned 14 yrs old three days prior. We lived in the area three yrs and was use to the area and I felt safe enough to let my children go. Yet not this day. Because Titan got hit by a car.
Titan suffered from a Broken Leg, Damaged Urethra, Ruptured Kidney, Lung Damage, Spinal Damage and Traumatic Brain Injury. My 14 yr old son suffered from the trauma of seeing his brother get hit and we all know possible guilt because they were together.
From the night Titan got hit he required 24/7 care from me. My family that Is here and my coworkers really pulled together to help my household while i stayed with Titan. To try to sum this up...
We have applied for disability, we have applied for utility assistance, we signed up for as much as we could successfully, yet we are still waiting. We have the same necessities we all have, bills still coming, things needed to maintain home, ourselves, day to day things, with me the main adult tending to my childs recovery. When Titan is in a better position and we know we have the correct continuity of care, I plan to return to work.
So what ever you are able to give will be responsibly used towards home and maintaining us until disability, the utility assistance and a job comes for me.
Thank You for what ever you can give.
