Julieta "Tita" Ortiz is a vibrant 12-year-old who loves her friends, singing, acting, ballet, and playing the violin. She has poured her heart into these passions and many in the community have enjoyed her performances, most recently in the Midwinter Revels. Tita is surrounded by the love and support of her parents, Alaina and Guillermo, her sister Paloma, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

On Thursday, January 22nd, Tita was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She was immediately admitted to Boston Children's Hospital, where she is now undergoing intensive inpatient treatment for at least the next 32 days. Following this initial stage of chemotherapy, Tita will continue with ongoing treatment that is expected to last two years or more. While research shows that this aggressive protocol offers strong outcomes, the journey ahead will be long and challenging for Tita and her family.

All funds raised will go directly to the Ortiz family to support Tita's care. This includes meeting deductibles, covering hospital bills and medical expenses not covered by insurance, offsetting lost income during Tita's care, handling logistical expenses related to treatment, and providing comfort and educational resources to support Tita throughout her recovery. Any and all contributions are deeply appreciated.
