*This campaign is not sponsored by TireHub but is important to individuals at TireHub.*
TireHub has been fortunate to be supported by two offshore partner teams since 2018, and both teams have been instrumental to TireHub's success. This year both teams were severely affected by the war, with 11 team members being directly impacted. While their lives had been uprooted, they still gave us their absolute best to ensure that TireHub didn't miss a beat.
Here are just some impacts of the war members of these teams experienced personally this year while working for us this year, based on personal information provided (skipping personal details to protect member identities):
- Every affected person had been displaced. The majority are now living temporarily in different places in Europe; some had to resettle in other "safer" parts of the country, with no way to return to their homes.
- Some additionally had their homes partially or fully destroyed by the artillery and missile strikes, so they have no homes to return to.
- Some team members that had to resettle in the country still have to go to bomb shelters almost daily on account of targeted civilian infrastructure missile strikes, including during team stand-ups recently.
- Most team members have been separated from their loved ones, usually parents and sometimes spouses and children. Some had sent loved ones abroad for them to be safe while remaining behind, and some had to leave their parents/spouses behind to continue to work.
- All internally displaced team members had to spend their scant savings to create additional work capacity protection infrastructure (power generators, satellite internet, additional security tools etc.)
- Most internally displaced team members have had experiences with losing electricity and losing access to drinking water and sanitation for extended periods of time in the last 2-3 months
As TireHub Leaders and Hubbers it's time for us to give back during this charitable season and support our extended team members!
The money collected will be directly distributed to affected team members with support from their management.
