My name is Tione Holt. I am 21 years old, and I am writing this on behalf of myself and my 16-year-old sister, Tanae Holt. On Super Bowl Sunday, I experienced something no child should ever have to endure - I found my mother, Kynitta deceased in her home. She was our only parent.

Our mother was a single mom who carried the weight of the world on her shoulders after tragedy struck our family again and again. In 2017, we lost our father, Antoine Holt, to homicide. In 2019, we suffered another heartbreaking loss when my older brother , J'waun, passed away. After those devastating losses, my mother began suffering from seizures.

There was a time when I found my mom unresponsive and, by the grace of God, I was able to saver her. But this time was different. This time, I found her gone in her sleep.

Now my little sister and I are left completely orphaned, grieving not just the loss of our mother, but the loss of our entire family. At age 21, I am doing everything I can to be strong for my sister, but we need help.

We are raising funds not only to cover our mothers funeral expenses, but also to help us with basic living expenses as we now face life as orphaned young women.

After loosing both of our parents, we are doing our best to stay strong and move forward, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. We are asking for $11,500 to us with essential living expenses- housing, utilities, food, and transportation - as we nagivate this heartbreaking transition without parental support.
