Our beloved friend is someone who has always lived by faith and love in action. He has fed the hungry on Skid Row, served the homeless, uplifted those who felt forgotten, and given his heart to this community without ever asking for anything in return. He truly reflects what it means to be God’s hands and feet on this earth.

Recently, his life was changed forever by a tragic accident. In a single moment, everything shifted. We almost lost him; he battled a life and death situation. He survived, and we know that is only by the grace of God, but the injuries were severe. He has already endured multiple surgeries and still faces three more, along with a long and painful journey of healing and rehabilitation. Doctors have shared that he will be unable to work for at least 14 months as his body slowly recovers. That’s if they’re able to save his leg.

Right now, he is fighting not only for his health but for stability. The medical bills, rent, and daily living costs are overwhelming. We are praying to raise $4,000 per month for the next year or so, which sums up to about $48,000 for 12 months, so he does not have to choose between healing and surviving.

We believe God is not finished with him. This accident is not the end of his story. We are trusting that God will restore his strength, his purpose, and his ability to continue serving others. But right now, he needs his community to surround him the way he has always surrounded others.
