Support Tina's Urgent Medical Recovery

On Friday, August 29, on top of an already difficult year (for everyone) our mom, Tina endured a devastating and completely unexpected accident that has left her injured, overwhelmed, and needing critical medical support for the foreseeable future.

She had already been out of work recovering from a prior work-related injury, doing everything she could to stay afloat and remain hopeful. But life took another cruel turn. She was involved in a freak accident as a crow bar flew through the windshield and struck her in the face resulting in several injuries. A 1-2 inch laceration under her left eye, a 2-3 inch gash from the side of her left nostril down through her lip and has what are called Le Fort fractures or a mid-facial break. Essentially the bones in the middle of her face are broken and nose is broken on both sides. It knocked out her front 4 top teeth and the tips off the bottom front 4. Now requiring emergency care, multiple reconstructive surgeries, and ongoing treatment.

The hardest part? Tina currently has no medical insurance.

That means every hospital visit, procedure, scan, medication, and follow-up appointment comes entirely out of pocket — and that’s on top of her daily living expenses.

Anyone who knows Tina knows her strength and resilience. And right now, she needs us to show up for her.
