I'm raising greatly needed funds for my friend and amazing woman, Tina Whittemore. Tina is a selfless rescuer of dogs in our community. Tina is not a non-profit and doesn't feel comfortable soliciting funds for her efforts herself.

If you live on the Olympic or Kitsap Peninsulas, you recognize Tina's name. If there's a lost dog who's been missing for any period of time, Tina is the one that pretty much everyone on social media tags. Tina and her fellow selfless rescuers drop everything in their own lives and businesses to do whatever it takes to help find these lost or abandoned souls. They do not ask a fee for their services from the people who have lost their dogs, nor do they receive any funds for rescuing abandoned dogs who are left to fend for themselves.

Tina sets large traps, often staying by the trap throughout the night in any and all weather for days and weeks on end. She puts up trail cams, baits traps, calls on friends with drones, and waits in freezing temperatures for endless hours hoping for sightings of these lost dogs.

Her compassion isn't limited to dogs. Tina is a skilled horsewoman and from what I have learned, quite the horse whisperer.

A couple of years back in our community, Tina was on site of a horrific animal hoarding and abuse case which included 64 dogs, multiple cats, and 2 horses. One horse was deceased, the other not far behind. Tina took Moon to her property, spent months nursing her back to health, putting weight on her, and getting her socialized enough to be transferred to an equine rescue.

Tina's efforts know no bounds.

My wish is to raise enough funds to help her with her efforts and pay for the rising costs of fuel, dog food, and supplies she faces daily. I know for a fact that Tina never looks at a low gas tank or awful weather to decide whether or not she's going out to try and find a lost dog. She just goes.
