On Labor Day 2024, I was stung by a bee. I started experiencing vertigo and couldn't get the bee stinger out, so I went to the emergency room.
During the course of getting the results of my blood work, the doctor was concerned with my white blood cell count and she ordered a bone marrow biopsy. The results came back with me being diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, also known as MDS, a blood cancer.
I am in need of some critical immunotherapy before being eligible for a Bone Marrow Transplant.
