Hi. My name is Tina, and I recently found out that I have a rare condition that only affects 4.2% of the population who have had cervical MRIs. It's called myelomalacia. Basically, it is a softening in my cervical spine that is slowly paralyzing me until it gets to my respiratory system, and then it's lights out, so to speak. If I were to survive this, I would be the first person ever to do so. I'm absolutely terrified because I do not want to die that way for sure. It's a very scary condition, and I have to go to Seattle to see the specialist over there and could really use some help with the expenses for gas, hotel rooms, and food while I am over there.
I am also in need of an electric wheelchair or scooter because getting around is getting so very hard. I know my insurance company is going to put up a flight about it being electric but when you can't use your hands well enough to push yourself around in one you no longer have that option
Because I can no longer work and I live on just under $950 a month, it is impossible to keep up with my monthly expenses, which also include the bills, of course. I am a woman of great pride, so finding that I need to have a GoFundMe page to get me through this is very hard.
This is the result of being strangled too many times by abusive exes, so I am seeing a therapist as well, trying to deal with all the emotions that stem from this happening. I did not plan for a funeral at this point in my life and quite honestly cannot afford life insurance so that I can have that taken care of. So that is also what I'm asking help to be able to accomplish.
I thank each and every one of you in advance for any help that you can offer up and know that you are all loved and appreciated.
