My name is Sheila Polstein. I grew up in the North Carolina mountains. My sister Tina and her family live in Spruce Pine, NC. As many of you are aware, Spruce Pine was devastated by Hurricane Helene. They were without power, water, cell service, and other basic needs of life for almost 3 weeks. They were trapped in their home and it took two days and a chainsaw to cut their way out. Lots of water got inside their house and the ceilings were soaked and close to collapse. The impacts on their home, their health, their safety, and their income will be long-term.

Any donation, no matter how large or small, will be deeply appreciated. Funds will be used for food, water, repairs, and any health-related expenses, including both physical and mental health.
