On 7/31/25, Kristina “Tina” Paul was taken for emergency surgery to have an abscess surgically drained in the operating room under anesthesia. Tina lives in Oklahoma City, and as most of you know, her family lives in Texas.
Because of the surgery needed emergently and unexpectedly, there will be many costs associated. Due to the nature of the surgery, there will also be a long recovery, weeks possibly months, including IV antibiotics, intensive wound therapy, and rehab. Rehab will take place in another facility once she has been discharged from the hospital. This recovery has been told to us that it will be long and difficult. With all that in mind, this means that she will not be able to work but will receive only half of her pay from work from FMLA.
On top of that, we are working hard to find a facility for rehab closer to her father and me so that we don’t have to make the 5-hour trip to OKC whenever we can. This is proving to be difficult due to her insurance. Her father, Joseph, and I are asking for help, as the sheer cost of her medical bills is adding up quickly, and also the need for us to travel to OKC every other weekend will add up quickly. We will also have to pay to break her lease early as she will be eventually coming back to Texas after she is healed.
We aren’t the type to ask for charity or really even help, but this time we need it. Money raised will mainly go to Tina to help with medical bills and breaking of her lease, as well as travel costs for us to visit occasionally if a facility cannot be found closer to our area. Please donate if you can, and if you cannot, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks in advance to everyone.
