Support Tina Sheridan’s Battle Against Kidney Cancer

Donation protected
Update as of 6-23-2025: Tina’s surgery went well, according to the surgeon it was the “ideal procedure” She was released from the hospital and has been recovering in the comfort of her own home!
She is about a third of the way through her expected recovery time and is still taking it very easy. Though she can walk, and mostly care for herself, she still has about a month before returning to normalcy and being able to lift heavy objects. Currently limited to less than 10lbs. Though there is still a ways to go, spirits are high!
Pathology reports have come back with results that showed the intended tumor, and another, that was hidden in the area have been removed. The Likelihood is high that the surgery should have removed ALL of the cancer in the kidney area. We are ecstatic over this news and look forward to future scans with optimism and hope that it was discovered and removed in time to avoid further complications elsewhere.
The support she has received has continued to be incredible! The heartwarming texts, messages and prayers have done more than you know! We appreciate you all for everything you have done to support her and us through this difficult time! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! There will be more updates to come as results from future scans come in.

My mom, Tina, was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. The diagnosis came quickly, and the timeline for procedures has rapidly moved up, giving little to no time to prepare. Fortunately, it was found early enough to likely have not spread to other parts of her body. However, the kidney will need to be removed the first week of June.

As many of you may know, Tina is a hard worker and terrible at staying still, but she will have no choice but to stay still for an undetermined amount of time post-surgery. She is a very independent person without a spouse or much family to help carry the load as she recovers. Aside from myself and a small circle of support she will be facing this alone. As emergency funds run low after two months of doctor's visits, tests, and scans, I am asking for help in keeping her lights on and bills paid, any funds after that will be used towards assistance with home health care as well. All donations received will go directly to keeping her as above water as possible before she hopefully makes a full return to work later this summer or fall.

She is not the type to ask for help in a public way, so I have taken it upon myself to humbly ask for whatever help you are willing to give. A kind message or supportive thoughts are just as appreciated as a dollar. I will be carrying as much weight as I can muster during this time and appreciate any assistance you are willing to provide.

My mom is the strongest woman I have ever met and I have no doubt she will recover and beat this cancer diagnosis. I just hope to ensure she is able to do so without the stress of the other aspects of life falling behind.

Jacob

UPDATE: Due to a handful of incredibly generous cash donations we have been able to lower the goal by $1,500! The outpouring of support, kind messages, and donations is more than we could’ve ever expected. Tina and I are eternally grateful.
