Hello friends, as most of you know, I have been pretty sick. On September 24, I was taken by ambulance to Baylor, Scott and White, where I spent five days, and four of them I was pretty well unconscious. We were celebrating Harleigh's birthday at the Great Wolf Lodge when I got critically ill. Turns out I had sepsis, but they never found the source. During this time, the infection attached to my nervous system. I have been diagnosed with polyneuropathy & Guillain-Barré. I am now on new medication, and it makes me sleep a lot. I've been off work for a month and do not have a return date due to muscle weakness.
I live to take care of others. I help anywhere I can; giving is my love language. This is truly a humbling experience having to ask for help in all aspects of my life. My mom and aunt have been taking care of my little girl. I cannot drive very much or very far; what I can do is very limited, and if you know me, you know this is such a challenge for me. I never dreamed I would be in such a position, but I have so much to be thankful for. I could've very easily died. I'm thankful we are finally getting some answers, and I'm thankful to have an appointment with the specialist. I'm thankful for everyone's love and support, for everyone that has checked on me. I'm thankful for help with Harleigh, and I'm grateful God is so good. His plan is greater than mine.
I would appreciate your continued prayers. If you can make a donation, even if it's small, to me and my girls, it would be truly appreciated. I'm not sure how long I'm going to be off work, but I am sure God will see me through. Thank you, your love and support is appreciated more than you know.
