My name is Sharon Weaver, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Tina Reed, whom I have known for more than 20 years. On June 5, Tina’s family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Tina’s mother, Barbara Krier, and her brother, Chad Reed, were killed in a head-on collision with a semi-truck while returning home from a family visit. Tina’s 8-year-old grandson, Cahl, was also in the vehicle and was life-flighted to Children’s Mercy Hospital, where he remains in the ICU.

As the family waits and hopes for Cahl’s recovery, they are also facing the overwhelming grief of losing Barbara and Chad so suddenly. Tina’s daughters, Danielle and Ashlie, have come together to support their family during this heartbreaking time. While they focus on caring for Cahl, making arrangements, and supporting one another through the days ahead, they are also facing the many unexpected expenses that accompany a tragedy of this magnitude.

Tina is a valued member of the Microsoft community and someone who has spent years helping others with kindness, generosity, and friendship. Now her family needs that same support. Funds raised through this campaign will help cover funeral and memorial expenses for Barbara and Chad, travel costs for family members, lost income from time away from work, immediate family needs, and expenses related to Cahl’s ongoing medical care and recovery.
