It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Rainey Violet Wesley on November 9, 2024. Rainey was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind a grieving family and a world that will never be the same without her.

Rainey leaves behind her loving mother, Tina, who is now faced with the unimaginable task of arranging her daughter's funeral. Tina is a single mother and, like all mothers, should never have to experience the pain of losing her firstborn. Rainey’s siblings—DancingFox, FlamingWolf, and MorningStar—also mourn the deep hole left by her passing.

But perhaps the most heart-wrenching loss is that of Rainey’s young son, Malachi. He now has to navigate life without the woman who was his greatest source of love and joy.

No mother should ever have to hear the painful reality of a world without their child. Tina now faces the overwhelming task of honoring Rainey's life while also supporting her family through this time of grief. We are asking for your help to ease this burden and provide Rainey with a peaceful journey home.

Your donations will help cover the immediate funeral costs and support Tina during this difficult time, allowing her the time she needs to grieve and arrange the proper ceremonies for Rainey. We are also raising funds for Malachi, Rainey’s beloved son, to ensure he has the support he needs in the years to come.

In addition to these expenses, any funds raised beyond those costs will contribute to Indigenous Recovery Programs that help families in similar situations.
