**In Loving Memory of Tina Marie Cabral: A Celebration of Life and Community Support**
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tina Marie Cabral, 54, of Whiting, who left this world peacefully on February 23, 2025, at her residence. Born on December 9, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, Tina dedicated the last 30 years of her life to the Whiting community. A compassionate caregiver, she spent many years working at the Hammond-Whiting Care Center, where her impact on the lives of those she cared for will be remembered fondly.
Tina was a vibrant spirit, passionate about music, crafting, and spending time by the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. However, her greatest joy came from her family. As a loving mother, she devoted herself to her children—Ricardo Cabral, Frank Ruiz, Lewis Ruiz, Kailee Taylor, Caleb Taylor, and Jillian Taylor—and cherished her role as a grandmother to Matthew and Avery Ruiz. Alongside her life companion Robert Taylor, Tina created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and support.
She is survived by her father, Lewis Cabral Sr.; her brother, Lewis (Lori) Cabral; her brother-in-law Bill Craft; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Zimmerman Cabral, her sister, Jennifer Craft, and her cherished grandparents, who welcomed her with open arms.
To honor Tina’s memory and the love she brought to our lives, we are organizing a memorial visitation at the Baran Funeral Home, located at 1235-119th Street, Whiting, IN, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 4:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date.
In light of Tina's untimely passing, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to assist her family during this difficult time. Your generous contributions will help with funeral expenses and support her family as they navigate this profound loss. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
Let us come together to celebrate the beautiful life of Tina Marie Cabral—a woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and love. Thank you for your support and generosity in honoring her memory.
