Support Tina Higley's Brain Surgery Recovery
Donation protected
On February 27th, our mother, Tina Higley, had a seizure while working at the Olean General Hospital where she was intubated and rushed to Buffalo General Hospital. After running tests, they found a large mass on the left frontal lobe of her brain. On March 4th, she had brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. She was able to go home in care of our family on March 8th. She is now being monitored for seizures and must complete rehabilitation for a few months until she is cleared to return to work. She will be expecting to travel back and forth to Buffalo for follow-up visits and possibly rehab.
We are also trying to find her a new place to live as she has to climb 14 stairs to her apartment. With her balance being off and her living alone we fear for her safety being up there all alone.
We are trying to remove any financial burdens she may experience so she can focus on her recovery. She is a well-known Registered Nurse at Olean General Hospital who has spent many years of her life helping and saving people in this community. We hope for a quick recovery so she can return to doing what she loves most.
