This is Tina and Scott Potter. We are very embarrassed to have to come to you all for help. We are not the type to ask for help with anything. We must admit that our pride has often kept us from reaching out. But this time, we are asking for help. Our bills and rent are a major priority, and we usually manage our finances well. With that said, our bills are paid FIRST and foremost. When it comes to our vehicles, we take care of them as best we can. We aren’t perfect, but we do our best. We do get by with what we have, but not enough to cover for another vehicle for Scott and me.

Recently, both of our vehicles started having transmission issues. Tina is deaf, and both she and her husband are on disability. She doesn’t let that stop her from pursuing a better future for her family by going back to school and working towards a career. For her needs, she needs a reliable vehicle in order to get to work. She regularly has critical medical appointments that require her to drive a distance, while the paratransit is not covered by health insurance. Tina and her husband live in a small town where the bus stop is not close to their home. Currently, Tina is working part-time as a caregiver and has been looking for work; however, without a safe, reliable vehicle, it is very challenging.

Our goal is to reach $5,000 so this family can replace or fix their car and keep working towards their future, their health, and their family. These funds will be used towards replacing our vehicle or repairing our current vehicles.
