My sister Tina’s husband, Steve, passed away from pancreatic cancer just a week and a half after being diagnosed and about a month after first realizing something was wrong. They thought they had more time to get things squared away for Tina and their son before he passed, but everything happened much quicker than anyone expected.

Because Steve was in and out of the hospital, they never had the chance to finalize financial details like banking information, and Tina hasn’t been able to work in order to collect a paycheck. On top of that, there are medical bills and household expenses that still need to be taken care of.

This fundraiser is to help Tina manage medical costs, bills, groceries, and day-to-day expenses as she navigates this unexpected loss and works to get everything settled. Their son is also coping with losing his dad and could use some support during this time. Any amount — no matter how small — will make a difference and help ease some of the financial and emotional burden as they both grieve and begin to rebuild.
