Hi, we are Tina's friends at work and life, and we are raising fund to support Tina and her family to recover from a severe car accident.

Tina was a sunshine to everyone. At work, she is an inspiring UX designer and career mentor to many. At life, she smiles at all the challenges as a first-gen immigrant and touches everyone around her with her generosity and sincerity. Yet she rarely complained the difficulties she faced on her own - How she funded herself through advanced education and career in the US, while providing for her entire family back at Taiwan all the time.

Last Christmas was devastating for us all to learn about Tina's car accident that sent her to the ICU. Ever since then, she showed how much a true warrior she is. We saw her waking up from days of surgeries, beating brain swelling, coming back to us from coma, getting rid of breathing tubes and working hard on rehabilitation day after day - Standing up for the first time recently! For one more time, we see the strength of life from her.

However, without her steady income, the family is facing financial difficulties as donations from close friends and all their savings are getting used up on medical bills (~$7,000), law suits (~$3,000) and daily expense like medical supplies (~$2000/month).

We are working with Tina's employer to get long-term disability insurance, but reaching out here to get everyone's help for the near term. Our current goal is $25,000 to cover the ongoing medical bill + family daily expense for the rest of year, hoping that by that time the insurance can kick in.
