Our family has been through a lot over the past two years since moving to North Carolina, and right now we are facing our hardest chapter yet.
Our dad, Tim, has been struggling with his mental health, and not long ago he was also hit by a truck, which was a major setback in his recovery. Just two weeks ago, we received devastating news—he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer, with possible involvement in his colon. He will be undergoing more testing to better understand the full picture.
Our dad is the kind of person who has always shown up for others. He has a big heart, a quiet strength, and a deep love for his family and community. He donated countless hours of his time in our old town—running the soccer league with our mom for four years, coaching all of us in both basketball and soccer, and even running a travel league for three years. He has always been someone who gives, supports, and shows up.
Seeing him in this condition has been incredibly hard for all of us.
Right now, our dad is very sick. He is dealing with constant stomach pain, extreme fatigue, and frequent vomiting. He has lost weight and spends much of his time sleeping because his body is so exhausted.
In the coming week, he will be undergoing procedures to place a port for chemotherapy, a feeding tube to help him get the nutrition he needs, and iron infusions to help strengthen him. The goal is to build his strength so he can begin chemotherapy and eventually be strong enough for surgery.
This has been overwhelming for our family—physically, emotionally, and financially. With our dad unable to work and the growing medical needs, we are asking for help to support him through treatment and recovery.
If you are able to donate, share, or simply keep our dad in your thoughts, it would mean so much to us. Every bit of support helps us get through this one step at a time.
If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and anyone who may know our dad or want to support him. Sharing this page can help us reach people we may not be able to reach on our own.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
