Support Tim’s fight against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Mike and I am here on this platform, speaking on behalf of my wonderful friend, Timothy Tingblad. Tim, his family, friends, myself and everyone else in this world who knows and loves him are devastated by this painfully earth-shattering diagnosis that has turned our world upside down.
We ask for your prayers and support during this difficult, challenging time.
Tim began to have symptoms of worsening headaches in April 2022. In mid May his symptoms became unbearable, when a CT Scan in ER revealed the reason. It showed a large brain tumor. Tim was subsequently hospitalized from May 25th through May 28th. During that time Dr. Cadena, Neurosurgeon extracted a biopsy from the tumor to send to Mayo. In addition, Tim requested a full referral to Mayo for his overall care. It took longer than it should have to get the info sent to Mayo from the hospital and other clinics.
After extensive testing, waiting five weeks for his scans/biopsy results and uncleared answers to his health condition, the doctors at Mayo were the ones who finally shared with Tim and his wife, Wendy- the unimaginable news. On July 1, 2022 Neurosurgeon- Dr. Parney was the first one to reveal there are many different locations in his brain that the Malignant GLIOMA Tumor has attached.
Tim was diagnosed with Glioma Brain Cancer. Glioma is a very aggressive form of brain cancer and is undeniably life-threatening. Due to the placement of where the tumor has attached within his brain, Tim is unable to have surgery performed. Next, Tim and Wendy met with a Neuro-oncologist named Dr. Uhm in person at Mayo Clinic on Thursday July 7, 2022. The biopsy results were shared. An MRI was ordered for next morning July 8th, which revealed the Tumor increased in size. Appointments were also set up with Neuro-Radiation-Oncologist Dr. Mahajan and her staff. As a result, it was determined that he will undergo radiation treatments at the Mayo Clinic 5 days a week for 36 weeks combined with chemotherapy at home. Treatments may slow progression of the cancer and reduce signs and symptoms. As many of you know, the Mayo Clinic is almost a three hour drive there and three hours back without traffic from Tim’s home in Saint Cloud, MN. Tim will require hotel stays during his treatments and plan to come home on the weekends to be with his family.
During this difficult time, Tim was prescribed medications that caused him to be extremely tired and weak. He also has symptoms as a result of the tumor that are difficult too. His vision for example is impaired. He has been unable to get around to do things around the house and the things that he enjoyed. Treatment will begin this week for Tim and there will be drawbacks and side effects from radiation and chemotherapy. There's no sugar-coating it. Tim has a hell of a fight ahead of him physically, emotionally and financially. Caring for his condition comes at a very hefty price. Tim will have to cover expenses for hospital bills, hotel stay for radiation treatments at the Mayo Clinic & chemotherapy and loss of income for having to leave his job and care for his health.
I am humbly asking for any help that would ease Tim’s journey to recovery so that he and his family can focus all of their energy on this fight for the recovery ahead as they navigate one of the most challenging and harrowing experiences.
Thank you for your love, prayers, support and generosity. No matter how big or small we are so grateful from the bottom of our hearts. Please share this post and keep Tim and his family in your prayers and show them how many people love and support them during this difficult time.
All proceeds collected will go directly to Tim for medical expenses.
Thank you so much for all your love and support.
