Timber is our 2-year-old Pomeranian. He was the happiness we needed after the devastating loss of our first dog, Bear, and brought so much joy into our home. He loves to run in the backyard, play with his doggy and kitty brother, roughhouse with Sam, and greet our friends and family with waist-high bounces, kisses, and tail wags. He is simply the goodest boy ever.
Yesterday, we had to rush Timber to the emergency vet. He had a bladder stone in his urethra that was causing his bladder to swell. The emergency vet performed a procedure to push the stone back into the bladder. We were told we had time to consult our local veterinarian for treatment and options before surgery was needed.
This morning, Timber was still showing signs of distress. When we returned to the emergency vet, Timber had to undergo immediate, life-saving surgery. He had a total of 7 bladder stones, 3 of which were in his urethra, causing a severe blockage that would eventually rupture his bladder. We were not prepared for the huge cost of the surgery needed to save his life. Please, if you are able, we need help to pay for this surgery.
