Our friend and co-worker, Tim, is facing an incredibly difficult chapter in life, and he needs the support of his community. Recently, Tim’s mother’s health began to decline rapidly. She has been diagnosed with dementia and was recently hospitalized after suffering a stroke. As her condition worsened, Tim stepped in without hesitation to care for her during this critical time. Like many devoted sons would, he put his family first.
In order to be there for his mother, Tim has had to take extended time off from work. While he has filed for FMLA, the approval and payment process takes time. Unfortunately, this means that right now he has little to no income while he waits for those benefits and potential back pay to begin. Although his mother has since been discharged from the hospital, her condition requires around-the-clock professional care. After careful consideration, Tim made the difficult but necessary decision to place her in a nursing home in Yakima, Washington so she can receive the medical attention she needs.
Between the cost of medical care, ongoing bills, specialized equipment, and everyday living expenses, Tim is now facing a serious financial strain. What began as a medical emergency has quickly turned into a situation that no one should have to face alone. Tim is one of the most hardworking and compassionate people we know. Now, during one of the most challenging moments of his life, we have the opportunity to support him the way he has supported so many others. Any donation—no matter the amount—will help Tim cover essential expenses while he focuses on what matters most: ensuring his mother receives the care and dignity she deserves. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help us reach others who may be able to help. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time. Together, we can help lighten the burden for Tim and his family.
