Support Tim Ryken's Stroke Recovery Journey

Hello,
My dad, Tim Ryken, had a stroke the week of Aug 26th. Looks like undiagnosed diabetes played a part in it, along with stress.

As of today, he has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. He is now stable and will probably be transferred to a post-acute facility this coming week.

The stroke affected the right side of his brain, so his left arm and leg have little to no mobility.

Looks like recovery may be a long road. He’s going to need a lot of physical therapy to get the mobility back, and we are unsure if or when he will return to work.

I'm creating a GoFundMe to help with any medical/home bills that need to be taken care of while he’s trying to get better.

For those of you that know “Old Man” Tim, know that he doesn’t ask for help much but is one of the first ones to help others. Any donations would help.

Old man still has his humor though…the day he went to the ER he joked with the nurse that this was his first vacation in years. He also said to tell everyone to take it easy so they don’t end up in a hospital bed like him.

We just ask that he doesn’t get a lot of calls or texts at this time so he can try to recover. It is hard for him to answer and respond, but we will keep everyone updated on how he is doing.
