Tim has always been the person others could count on. A dedicated husband, father, and hard worker, he has supported his family by working two to three physically demanding jobs to provide for his wife and their 9-year-old daughter. Everything changed suddenly and unexpectedly on November 7. After a visit to the ER and a second, more urgent trip to the hospital, Tim lost feeling in his legs and since that moment he became paralyzed from the chest down. He has been in the hospital since, facing a new reality and working hard in therapy to adapt to his sudden disability.
Since November 21, Tim has been working tirelessly to learn how to live with this sudden and life- altering disability. While he focuses on recovery, his family is facing overwhelming challenges. Medical bills from ambulance transport, emergency care, hospitalization, and ongoing rehabilitation are rapidly accumulating. At the same time, Tim’s family is preparing for the reality of bringing him home- a home and vehicle that are not currently wheelchair accessible. In addition to medical expenses, significant funds are needed for home modifications to allow wheelchair access, transportation adaptations so Tim can attend ongoing rehabilitation and medical appointments, and living expenses impacted by the loss of Tim’s income, as he is unable to return to his intensively physical jobs.
The financial, emotional, and logistical burden has been overwhelming- but Tim and his family are facing it with strength, determination, and hope. Tim has always been someone who helps others without hesitation. Now, his family is humbly asking for help in return. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical bills, home modifications, and transportation needs, helping Tim regain independence and return to the life he loves with the people he loves.
Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for supporting Tim and his family at this difficult time.
