On April 20, 2025, Tim was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident caused by a hit-and-run driver. While riding across a bridge in New Orleans, Louisiana, a car sideswiped his motorcycle, throwing him 50 feet off the bridge. The fall resulted in severe injuries, including a lacerated liver that led to internal bleeding and the loss of 30% of his blood volume. Tim was rushed to University Medical Center in New Orleans, where emergency surgery was performed to stop the bleeding. He also received multiple blood transfusions to replace the blood he lost.
Following surgery, Tim experienced difficulty breathing and was placed on a ventilator. While on the ventilator, he developed Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), leaving him fully dependent on machine-assisted breathing.
In addition to his internal injuries, Tim sustained multiple fractures: a broken left hip and leg, broken ribs, a fractured right arm, an open ankle fracture, and a fractured orbital (eye) bone. So far, he has undergone six surgeries and is expected to need at least two more. His journey to recovery will involve extensive rehabilitation.
If you would like to help, any donation—no matter the amount—would mean the world. Your support is deeply appreciated as Tim continues to fight through this long and difficult recovery.
