Support Tim Barker on His Road to Recovery

On Friday, July 11th, Tim was in a devastating accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. He is currently in the ICU, where he remains under close monitoring. His injuries are extensive — including brain swelling, blood clots, a skull fracture, and broken orbital bones. The road ahead will be long and uncertain, involving intensive physical and occupational therapy, ongoing medical care, and numerous follow-up appointments.

Despite the severity of his condition, Tim’s spirit remains strong. When he briefly woke from sedation, the first thing he was asked was, “Did you catch all the big ones?” With a smile, he quietly said, “Yeah.” Fishing — especially chasing muskies — is Tim’s passion. It’s what fuels his strength and determination, even in the toughest moments.

Tim is a hardworking man with deep ties to his community through Schroders Guiding Service, Mountain Musky Lodge, and his work as a part-time contractor. He has always given his all — in his work and for his loved ones.

Now, he needs our help.

This kind of injury carries an enormous emotional, physical, and financial toll. Tim will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, and the cost of care, rehabilitation, medical equipment, and time away from work is staggering. To add to the strain, Tim is the sole provider for his family while his partner, Shazana, continues her own health journey at Mayo Clinic.
