On Friday 9 January 2026, we woke to the devastating news that our Dad (Tim) had lost his home and all of his belongings in the Longwood bushfire.

For those who know Dad, he is the most kind and considerate community man, who has done so much for the people around him, especially in his local Avenel community.

Dad recently retired after serving the Upton Hill CFA for over 20 years including 10 years as captain. During this time, he helped to save many homes, properties and livestock and this year, he has lost his own.

Our thoughts and prayers go to everyone who have also been impacted by the fires and it is times like these where we rely on our beloved communities.

We are seeking assistance in raising funds so Dad can purchase some new tools, clothing, laptop and other essentials items which were all destroyed.
