Hi, my name is Maureen from Asheville, NC. I am trying to raise money for my handyman, Tim Bank, who has been a victim of Hurricane Helene. He lives in a trailer with his wife and two children, ages 6 and 4 (Jaden and Bradley), one of whom is autistic.
Two weeks prior to Hurricane Helene, he broke his foot while on a job. He is the only source of income for his family. The storm damaged his trailer (which he rents) and literally washed away his car in the floodwaters. Unfortunately, he has no comprehensive insurance, and his car is a total loss. He has been walking around on his broken foot collecting food and water for his family as best he can. This is causing his foot to swell, but he has no choice.
He will try to apply for FEMA assistance, but it's unclear whether they will cover the cost of his car. Also, he needs the car now to help with collecting food and water as well as getting back to work. This is a hardworking, proud man who just can't seem to catch a break. The money will be used to buy him a used car. He is in a desperate situation and needs help. Please give whatever you can.
