Tim and Roxane Atwood have spent their entire professional lives supporting country music artists from the Grand Ole Opry stage and all across the world. Now, they need our support. For 38 years, Tim was the staff piano man on the Grand Ole Opry and played with everyone from Roy Acuff, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill and even Taylor Swift. Roxane produced the television show, Grand Ole Opry Live and Opry Backstage helping to jumpstart the careers of many of today's icons - including Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton.
Five years ago, Tim suffered a debilitating back injury. Although he was still able to perform with limitations, Roxane found herself as the caregiver to her husband. And, now, the caregiver needs help herself. On September 2, 2025, Roxane suffered a stroke resulting in partial paralysis on her left side. In order to return home and be able to function many home improvements for their living situation are necessary. For example: a ramp will be needed, a bathroom and kitchen remodel for accessibility and many other items that will pop up along the way including additional rehabbing and caregiving from outside sources.
Tim and Roxane have been and continue to be constant supporters, givers and fundraisers for so many charitable organizations such as the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, the Humane Society, The Musicians Emergency Relief Fund. Tim and Roxane need support now more than ever. Any donation of any type whether it be monetarily or supplies or even a simple prayer is much appreciated.
